The hymn “A Foretaste of Your Rest” (Matthew W. Bassford and Matthew L. Harber) provides present hope for when we face future grief. The presence, promise, and providence of God assure us that one day, if we are true to the Lord, we will enjoy divine, Sabbath rest. This study incorporates traditional sermon elements and various hymns to highlight the key ideas of “A Foretaste of Your Rest.”
