How Do You Answer Questions?
Thanks again for visiting with us! Our sincere desire is to not only go to heaven and spend eternity with our Heavenly Father, but we also want to help others share our salvation and heavenly home. Whether you were invited or found us, you have already invested some effort to visit, study, and worship with us, which we greatly appreciate. You probably have several questions for us, and we would like nothing more than to open together the pages of the Bible and draw closer to God through a better understanding of His Word and Him.
More questions can be asked than can be answered in this visitor packet, so in addition to the above questions about our elders’ oversight and our evangelist’s preaching, we have selected a handful of commonly asked questions, which will demonstrate not only how we answer questions, but they will also reveal our spiritual values, priorities, and heart. We hope by reading these you will develop a better understanding of who we are, based on our answers to these following commonly asked questions:
In reading our answers to the above questions, please pay close attention to see if we are loyal to God or if we prefer the “praises of men” (John 12:42-43). Please notice if our answers are rooted in Scripture or if we offer the opinions of men (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Jeremiah 10:23; Proverbs 14:12). Please check if we use the Scriptures accurately and avoid “twisting” them from their context (Acts 17:10-11; 2 Peter 3:15-18). Please make sure that our concern for truth is not divorced from a love of God, His people, and the lost – and you (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; 1 Corinthians 13:1-8; Mark 10:20-21). Please see if we are indeed declaring “the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:12-16).
We want to hear from you! Please complete our visitor’s card, and let us know if you are currently interested in studying the Bible with us or learning more about us. Please use the back of the card to provide any additional feedback or ask any questions you might like for us to consider. Thanks again for worshiping with us, and please keep this visitor packet as a way to learn more about God and us, as we strive to praise Him and grow closer to Him.
