The coarsening of language in public society is going the way of the rest of society. It is spiraling down. Some advocate that we simply become less sensitive and others even cheer the shift to "real talk." Still others are affronted even by Biblical language. Our language, as in every part of our lives, ought to be guided by the word of God and not by the passing cultures of men.
