The LORD of Hosts

The Bible refers to God as “the Lord of hosts.” This literally means “the Lord of armies.” God, then, is a warrior-God. In a world that (hypocritically) decries such a description, how should Christians respond to “the Lord of hosts”? This sermon surveys the warrior-God imagery, the heavenly armies, and the response of the people of God.
