God's Home and Mine

When God wants to describe His relationship with His people, He uses many images to do so, but one of the most consistent is that of the home. But as God describes His own household he uses the picture of a home that isn't always what we are used to. If we want to appreciate the imagery God uses to describe Himself, we need to see what homes used to look like, and in some ways, need to still look like.
