Promoting Peace in the Church

The Bible instructs Christians to be at peace with one another (1 Thessalonians 5:13). But how? The Bible gives us the answer: "We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone" (v. 14 NASB). In this close examination of 1 Thessalonians 5:14, we identify the potential hindrances to peace and the steps that we must take to strengthen those who are disobedient or disillusioned. We learn that peace is not easy; it requires Christians to do hard things; but it is worth it.
