Power, Privilege, and Oppression

There is a strong effort to make the possession of power or privilege into a sin and the reception of oppression into a virtue. Many are turning to scripture to defend such notions. But God's word does condemn many who are powerful and privileged while offering comfort to the oppressed. So how should we respond when we see power or privilege or when we suffer oppression? God's word has the answers where the world only has accusations.
