The Gospel of Salvation

The Gospel of Luke presents Jesus as Savior. Luke repeatedly uses the words save, savior, and salvation. He wanted his original reader (Theophilus) and his modern readers to know with certainty that the gospel of Christ is true and effective. Whether we have already been saved by Jesus or are still learning about sin and salvation, the Gospel of Luke will help us to meet the Savior, to trust him, and to accept his offer of forgiveness.
