Love Fulfills

Many view the book of Romans as a treatise Paul wrote to settle an argument 1500 years later between John Calvin and Jacobus Arminius. He was actually dealing largely with intransigience on the part of Jews who simply could not fathom how God could reject the earthly nation of Israel. As Paul laid out in the epistle, He rejected them because they did not fulfill His law. It turns out that genuine faithfulness under the Law of Moses looked the very same as faithfulness does today: God has always required of His people sacrifice, holiness, and love.
