The Thief on the Cross

Hear the word of God, believe on Jesus, confess Him as the Son of God, repent of your sins, and be baptized in water for the remission of your sins. God’s instructions for how a sinner becomes a Christian are very clear. And yet someone frequently points to the thief on the cross as an example of someone who was saved in a different manner. Can we be saved as the thief on the cross was?
