Depraved, but Not Totally

One of the tenets of Calvinism is total depravity: the idea that human beings are wholly given over to sin, incapable of doing (or even conceiving of doing) anything righteous, until such time as God intervenes by miraculously changing their hearts. While the Bible is clear that men tend toward wickedness, is every soul born, in fact, totally depraved?
