The Wrath of God

The Old Testament is replete with baleful occasions when God poured out His wrath on those who had incurred it. We sometimes hear that the God of the New Testament is a different, more patient and loving God, but why would we assume God would behave any differently toward us than He has toward those who lived before us? In fact, Malachi informs us that God does not change (Malachi 3:6). Nevertheless none of us need suffer the undiluted wrath of Almighty God: We simply need to change to be what God wants us to be.
