In this first part of a two-part lesson, we consider three practices that caused divisions in churches of Christ and the doctrinal problems with each: In the 1800s, the missionary society and the introduction of instrumental music in worship, and in the 1900s, the practice of supporting colleges with funds from the local church's treasury.
