The Hope of Glory

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”—I John 3:2, 3

The gospel is hope—hope of something beyond this life, hope of something bigger than this life, hope of something many times better and more precious than this life. And there is no reason for us to doubt, wondering whether we will partake of that glory God has promised us. God wants us, in fact, to be confident in the promises He has made us. Let us purify ourselves as He is pure and look forward with joy to the glory God has promised us!
