We pick up in Matthew 16. Jesus again denies His adversaries a sign and gives a solemn warning about them to His disciples. Peter makes his great confession, and Jesus commends him. Then as Jesus begins to warn His disciples about what will soon happen to Him, He must rebuke Peter sharply. Finally, Jesus issues a grave call to service and puts the value of the soul into perspective.
